A hammer is a tool that strikes an object to move or deform it. Commonly used to drive nails, correct or break open objects. Hammers come in various forms, with the most common being a handle and a top.
The top side is flat for tapping, while the other side is a hammer head. The shape of the hammer head can be like a sheep horn or wedge-shaped, and its function is to pull out a nail. In addition, it also has a round headed hammer head.
When the mass of the hammer increases by 1 times, the energy increases by 1 time, and when the speed increases by 1 time, the energy increases by 4 times. So, in order to avoid danger, when using a hammer, it is important to choose the right one and control the speed of striking.
When using a hand hammer, it is important to ensure that the connection between the hammer head and handle is secure. If there is any looseness, it should be immediately wedged or replaced with a new handle. The length of the hammer handle should be moderate, and experience suggests that a suitable length is to hold the hammer head with the forearm equal to the length of the hand hammer; When a smaller impact force is required, the hand swing method can be used, and when a stronger impact force is needed, the arm swing method should be used; When using the arm swing method, attention should be paid to the movement arc of the hammer head, and the handle of the hand hammer should not be contaminated with grease.
When using a hammer, the following points should be noted:
(1) The connection between the hammer head and handle should be firm. Any loose hammer head and handle, as well as any splitting or cracking of the handle, must not be used. The hammer head and handle should be wedged in the installation hole, preferably with a metal wedge. The length of the wedge should not exceed 2/3 of the depth of the installation hole.
(2) In order to have some elasticity when striking, the middle and top of the handle should be slightly narrower than the end.
(3) When using a sledgehammer, attention should be paid to front and back, left and right, up and down. It is strictly prohibited to stand within the range of movement of the sledgehammer, and it is not allowed to use a sledgehammer and a small hammer to hit each other.
(4) Hammer heads are not allowed to be quenched, and there should be no cracks or burrs. If burrs or burrs are found, they should be promptly repaired.
