When wearing personal protective equipment, it is important to focus on ensuring its integrity, compatibility, and proper operation.

The demand for labor protection varies greatly among different occupations and environments, but the core idea is to avoid safety hazards through standardized wearing.

1、 Integrity check

Before wearing, it is necessary to confirm the integrity of the protective equipment. Check if the mask filter cotton is damaged, if there are cracks in the protective goggles, and if the safety helmet buckle is ineffective. If aging or damage is found, replace it immediately. For example, if the chemical protective clothing used in chemical plants has open seams, chemicals may penetrate and cause burns.

2、 Scene adaptation

Select the corresponding protection level based on the job type. Anti particle masks (such as N95) should be used in dusty environments, dark radiation masks should be worn for welding operations, and five point safety belts must be worn for high-altitude operations. Misuse of low-level protective equipment (such as ordinary cotton masks filtering toxic gases) will result in ineffective protection.

3、 Wearing process

Follow the order from inside to outside and top to bottom: first wear close fitting protective clothing, then secure head protection, and adjust hand and foot protection. Dust masks should be tightly clamped with nose clips to ensure a snug fit, and the cuffs of protective gloves should be pressed against the outside of the work clothes to prevent foreign objects from entering. Reverse operation may cause protective gaps.

4、 Environmental overlay protection

Complex scenes require a combination of multiple layers of protection. When the laboratory comes into contact with splashing liquids and harmful gases simultaneously, goggles, gas masks, and rubber gloves should be stacked. It is recommended to use a layered wearing method for outdoor work in winter: quick drying underwear+insulation layer+windproof jacket to avoid sweat retention and heat loss.

The use of labor protection equipment should pay attention to its effective lifespan. For example, it is recommended to replace the gas mask filter box within 8 hours, and the anti cutting gloves should be scrapped if they show fabric wear. In practical operation, the protective performance can be verified by immersion testing (squeezing liquid resistant gloves into water to observe leakage), light transmission inspection (whether the UV mask changes color), and other methods.
